Our New Media and Studio Rooms
Welcome to our new media and studio rooms!
Creative developments to enrish our students’ experiences.
We are really excited to announce that two new rooms have been redeveloped during the summer holidays to enrich our student’s learning and creativity.
- A mini media green screen room where students will take part in green screen, film editing, photography, drama and role play.
- A sound studio with a range of brand new technology.
All of our students were really excited to be able to have opportunities to use the rooms – during lessons such as English and Science where they have been able to express themselves in different ways alongside their themed learning this term. The range of costumes and outfits we now have has added an extra layer to enable students to explore and express themselves in different ways. It has been wonderful seeing students excited and their engagement is outstanding.
In the sound studio, we have brand new technology including a Mac-book, DJ production board, podcasting kit with voice over and effects. Here students can create their own podcasts, music mixes, create their own digital music. Students have already come up with their own idea of creating tunes and mix to go with their English lesson theme of Fairytales they have been studying this term.
We have plans to develop a new 3rd room into a mini fitness suite adding further resources into the school to suit the needs of our students and encourage health and fitness to support their wellbeing. Keep an eye on our website for the opening of Barraclough Fitness Suite!!
